Sonic Producer – Professional Music Producing Software

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Music is the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre. Composition is the creation and recording of music via a medium by which others can interpret it. Composing may be as simple as creating music beats or writing an entire song. Thanks to modern technology, it is not fairly easy to produce or to create music on the computer. All you need is a professional music producing software. Here’s how music beats can be composed and recorded right on the computer:

Download a music production software program from the internet. Programs like these are specifically designed to make and record beats. In fact, many professional beat makers use them. Decide on the tempo of your beat. The tempo refers to the pace of the music, or how fast or slow the beat of the music is. It will greatly depend on the type of beat and the style of music you are making.

Create a drum pattern to use for your music beat. You can use a variety of combinations of kick, snare, and hat drum sounds to create the pattern. Then, record a bass line for your beat.

Add various instruments and record your melodies for the beat. Melody refers to musical phrases or a coherent series of notes. The melody can be made up of rhythm cords and scale lead sections. Mix your beat, which is the longest and most essential part of the beat-making process. Finally, save your beat as an MP3.

Learning how to create music beats on the computer is truly a great way to express your musical creativity. It’s a good thing that the many advancements in technology has made it possible for even the average person to produce music right from the comfort of his own home and without spending a lot on complex studio equipment.

Understanding Home Producing

Producing Music can be extremely fun and an exciting activity. There is nothing like being able to express yourself and put down your musical ideas and turning them into an album which you can call your own. Unfortunately there is one major problem which is the learning curve that comes with being able to produce your music at you own home. This tends to be a tedious task because most musicians would rather be putting in their time and energy making music instead of all the time it normally takes to go through the learning curve.

This is why we developed ProduceMusicToday to help you get a handle on the basics of producing music and show you what is involved in the process so we can eliminate the learning curve for the most part. In the program students will discover all the basic foundation of a home recording studio and get some ideas about getting the right gear at the right price. Students will then explore the multi-tracking process and learn the nitty-gritty that is involved in mixing the tracks that you put together. Then we will move on to explore mastering (which is a big task all in its self) and show the most effective ways of getting the music you create out to your listeners.

The Principles Of A Music Producing Studio

One thing that people misunderstand is that whether you have a high end multi-million dollar studio or a little studio in your spare bedroom, all producing studios contain the same basic components. This is one of the major areas that many people get lost and which typically our students ask the most questions. When looking at setting up a producing studio people tend to think this is going to cost an arm and a leg. Along with this the next thought comes that there is to much involved and is going to be way to complicated. The truth is that it can be as expensive as one could afford, but when know the right gear/places it can be very cost efficient. With all the information and new technology out there you can begin actually very cheap. Yes this is true and is being kept from you from the music industry. ProduceMusicToday is what I created because I was in the same situation that you were in. It offers everything that you need to know for producing music, recording music, getting the right gear, mixing, mastering, and (what was most important to me) making money while doing it. After learning these process now you are a music producer.

Becoming A Music Producer

In todays world music producers are responsible for all stages of production, they normally have quite a bit of music and performance experience or their own. When producing music they need to be able to properly explain their ideas to the artist or musicians that they are working with. It is also their responsibility to know what works and what doesn’t, so having live performance experience is indispensable.

Today everyone says their a music producer. Everyone says that they can produce music. Everyone thinks that they can compete with or are better than the competition. There many factors involved in the equation of being successful at recording and producing music. This is why so many fail to make it no matter what their skill level is around. This is why I felt like I had to learn the ins and outs of producing music. It took me years of trail and error, trying over and over again before I learned how to build a solid foundation. At ProduceMusicToday I show my students step-by-step how to build that foundation (while doing it affordable), mix, master, record, and make money online to pay for their equipment.

Discovering the art of music production is something that has to be even born into you or taught by someone who knows everything about it, it’s something that shows emotion and power and gives listeners time to hear what you are feeling or trying to put across. Only thing being a lot of people do not know how to use music production software to give them the results they want.

Music Production, it’s a real art and has so many different aspects to it. When you listen to a song you have to hear all the little details and sounds going on to make the emotion, you have to learn how to create this when making music or your music will be dead and boring. Bass, harmonies and melodies make music full of expression and energy whatever genre it is put in; Hip-hop, R&b, Pop and even rock.

The art of music production is also about the communication, you have to master what the listener wants to hear. If you do not know what they want to hear the communication is going to be poor and people will not like your music. The sound, the feel, the emotion, everything has to be just right to connect with your audience. How to choose a laptop/Desktop for audio recording and producing

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

The first and main step is to decide whether to choose the MAC or PC route. Although for the price of a basic mac you can pick up a very powerful high spec pc desktop or laptop. But from my experience with pc’s i have to say they are crap and unreliable not just for the task of producing but generally. This is not another note of mac vs pc it’s just for recording purposes the mac is quick, reliable and dosn’t crash or get viruses. Equally whether you buy a macbook or macbook pro, you could have a custom-made pc which could be just as good.

Don’t cheap out by small amounts like £50-100 as you will regret it. Upgrades are always good if you have any dosh left over.

Obviously you will need enough hard drive to hold not just you vst’s and programs, but recordings and samples. So look at external hard drives if this computer is not just for producing because my 120gb hard drive was filled up within a year by itunes and recordings and etc.

RAM! Lot’s and lot’s of RAM! If you get a laptop with 1/2 gb of ram you should not be running windows vista as it needs more than the standard. 2gb of RAM is adequate to run production programs efficiently, but if you have the option to have an upgrade, take it if it’s in your price range.

Get the fastest processor that you can afford. Audio recording applications are taxing to the processor. Buy a machine with plenty of processing power to avoid dropouts or noises in the recorded audio, or poor performance of the software.

USB ports you’ll need at least one! to add an extension to. I use 3 usb sockets for all my external hardware.
Sound cards are a different story which i have not got to yet. But will have soon enough.
