Info Product Creation: Choosing a Medium to Create your Own Info Product

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Selling internet based information based products is a great option to start internet home business and has immense potential. Truly speaking, ebooks, audio files and video files in downloadable format are the only available options to create info products for internet based home business. Not very long back, ebooks were the only medium you could ceate and sell your info products. But with advent of new technology, a marketer of today can easily create audio and video files.

There are many other methods you can dispense information and generate money. These are ezines, newsletters, blogs, membership sites etc. But these in true sense are info services rather than info products.

Ebook is a product that most internet marketers start with. Ebooks are easy to create without much technical requirements. All you have to do is to write. Most popular ebooks are in pdf format. They are popular because they are light, fast, easy to create and can be read on any type of computer be it IBM or Mac, with an equal ease. They do not need any special type of ebook reader. The only requirement is the acrobat reader which should be installed in user computer. Acrobat reader is freely available.

I personally like and recommend use of pdf books. They are a much better choice when compared to exe ebooks which requires a basic understanding of web pages.

All you need is to write your book in Microsoft Word as you normally write and convert that .doc file to .pdf file. It is that simple. For conversion to .pdf file you require a pdf converter. You can either choose to buy from Adobe if you can afford but in my view it is quite expensive. There are some free pdf converters available too. Just do a search and you would find it. A list is also mentioned at our site blog.

Another form of ebook creators create a file in exe form and can only be read in Windows. You would need to purchase one of the available ebook creator from one of the suppliers. Ebook Pro is a good tool with lot many features. Again, you can find the link to source at our blog.

Audio Files are have a great potential market too. For creating good audio files you would require some basic sound hardware, software for editing the sound. You would have to hire somebody with good voice to speak the information. You would also require online audio players to give the online sample hearing to you visitors. All this increase cost and need for technical knowledge.

Video files are a great leap in technology. Everything that is hard to understand in words can be easily understood when put in video form. There are a lot of choices in video making. You can make text and image based videos or you can put live demos. You would require video making softwares , good shooting camera and editing software.

A costly affair for the beginner.

In my view if you do not have much technical knowledge, you should start with ebooks and then can move on to audio and video files later. Most of the sales are still made in ebooks.

Go and capture your share.

Product Creation: Create Your Own Information Product

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Believe it or not product creation is the easiest part of the information marketing process. People often get bogged down fearful they will not create a product that others find useful and interesting. However, once you have found a profitable and hungry niche market creating the product occurs without much grinding and gnashing of teeth.

Ask your customer base what they are hungry to learn and use that information to produce a product you will barely have to sell because they asked for it.

1. Taped phone interview or Tele-seminars. This is the simplest, fastest, easiest way to produce a product ready for sale within hours. Find an expert in your niche market. Is that expert you? Then find a moderator who can grill you for the dirty secrets you are keeping. At the end of a 90-minute interview you will have an MP3 file that can also be converted to a CD file. You will also transcribe the audio so you will have several different ways of delivering your product.

2. Public domain information is a gift. These are works that no longer have copyright attached. They have either fallen into the public domain or were intentionally placed there by the authors. You’d be surprised to find how much information no longer is protected by copyright. One large resource is Project Gutenburg, a digital library of over 1700 free e-books whose copyright has expired. Don’t just jump right in though. Be sure to research the copyright status of the work you want to use and then have a certified written report generated from the Library of Congress.

3. Ghostwriters are writers willing to produce your written material without claim to authorship. There are several cautions with this suggestion. You can find ghostwriters through enlace or Rent coder (both web businesses). However, when you have hired the writer be sure to completely eliminate all doubt as to the copyright status and authorship of the work by using a contract. It would be in your best interest to have that contract drawn up by an attorney. However, you can then use the same contract for any other ghostwriting you might have done.

4. Software creation is also fast and profitable. You will determine what is most irritating to your customer and what software might solve that problem for them. You can then find a programmer through Rent coder or through recommendations from a friend. As in the case with ghostwriters is sure to have the copyright and authorship ironed out before sharing the details.

5. Screen capture videos are basic video that you can do using your computer and Camtasia. Camtasia Studio is an Internet based software program that allows you to capture your moving screen and add voice over with a microphone. For more details go to www.create-video-product.com. Using this technique you can shoot your own videos that teach your customers all they want to know about a software program or how to just about anything. This is affordable and easy to learn.

6. Writing case studies about the successes and failures of people within your customer base provides your customers with a road map to success. For more information login to www.info-product-profit-revealed.com. If your customers are in Network Marketing, for instance, you might write a book outlining the strategies of the top 10 Network Marketers across 10 different companies.

7. Private label information is being sold across the Internet today by the bucketful. Taken at face value it may not be worth much. But, tweaked with your own special personality and special bonuses you can make a small killing.

8. Mastermind groups are cropping up in all walks of life. They are wonderfully productive ways for like-minded people to gather together and brainstorm. You can utilize these groups in your customer base to produce an audio file that can be sold as an MP3, CD or transcribed book.

Product Creation Through Teleclasses & Article Writing

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Copyright (c) 2009 DHI-Communications

If you have been following my series of articles on creating products for online businesses, you know I am a big believer in article writing and the use of article depository websites. Not only do I love article writing, but another passion is teleclasses and creating audio products for my customers.

Several of the big name Internet Marketers today are pushing the benefit of teleclasses, webinars, and teleseminars; whatever you choose to call them. Are these new age teaching methods very effective? If they were not, why would most large companies in America be using them as a form of employee development and client education?

With the advent of many of today’s telecommunication advances, teleclasses have evolved from being conducted over nothing more than a conference line, to calls broadcast to thousands of participants around the world. Not only can you use the teleclass itself as a product, but you can also have the conference or bridge line provider record the call for you. Almost immediately after ending the call, you have the ability to download an MP3 recording of your call.

You can then either place the recording on your website, in your blog as a podcast, or burn it onto a CD as a hardcopy product. Better yet, using a shopping cart program you can deliver the mp3 recording to a paying customer. Did it cost you anything to deliver it? No. Did it cost you anything to burn the recording onto a CD? No. Did you profit from the sale? Sure did, 100% profit.

The use of the teleclass line most times does not cost anything. The provider will charge for the downloading of the mp3 recording. However, using voice caption software or a $15 product from your local Radio Shack store, you can easily record the call onto a personal recording device yourself.

How else can you create product using teleclasses? You can order typed transcripts of the call from the provider. This then can be sold as a special report or manual to accompany the mp3 recording as a study course. The combinations are almost limitless. All it takes is about an hour of your time to conduct the teleclass and you are in business. So, have you jumped on the article writing bandwagon yet? If so, what have you done with those articles you have written?

This article will cover a few of the repurposing ideas I have used to develop many products from one article.

1. Blog entries. Use your article to post on your blog. Make sure you are providing your readers with specific content that will be of their interest.

2. Website content. Add your articles onto your website under a Free Resources tab. What a great service to offer your visitors.

3. Special Reports: After compiling the above 10 or 20 article together, you have a specialized special report. You would be surprised what people will pay for a specialized report ($19.97 on up)

4. CD & Podcast. Once you have 10 or 20 articles together on a specific topic, make a recording of yourself reading them. You can upload the recording as an mp3 download on your website or sites such as iTunes. You can post them to podcasting sites. You can sell the CD as a back end product when you sell someone your special report. ($29.97 on up)

5. Home study Course. package the CD and special report together and market it as a home study course. Makeup a 20 question test the purchaser can take and submit back to you to receive a certificate with their name embossed on it. ($67.97 on up).

As you can see, from one set or articles or a teleclass, you can create products blindfolded.

So, go ahead and give it a try. One hour and one teleclass will allow you to create at least 4 or 5 products, which will be an easy product line to create.

Behind the Scenes Creation of Audio Books

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Many people have discovered the joys of listening to their favorite fiction authors on audio book, but not many realize the great detail and behind the scenes preparation that goes into the recording and production of an audio book. The total length of the audio book versions of the immensely popular “Harry Potter” series, for instance, is 117 hours and four minutes. According to officials at Listening Library, the Random House division that publishes the audio books, it would take five days to listen straight to all seven books. The final audio book in the series, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” alone, s 21 hours, 38 minutes long and consists of 17 CDs or 12 audio cassettes. The narrator for all seven “Harry Potter” audio books is English actor Jim Dale, who has won Grammy awards for his performances of more than 200 characters in the fiction series. He holds the record for creating the most voices in an audio book in the Guinness Book of World Records. Recording audio books is tricky, says Dale, who only saw his material two or three days before his recording was to begin. And he never knew where the story was going as he never got the chance to read the entire book before he started. On a good day, Dale read the audio books at a rate of 18 to 20 pages an hour, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with several breaks to protect his voice. It usually took ten days to complete the audio book recordings. The published print version of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is 784 pages, and it required almost two and a half weeks to record the audio book. The publishers kept digital files of all the voices Dale used so that he could recreate them for each audio book. But he had to take into the account the aging of the main characters Harry, Ron and Hermione, who started out as 10 and 11 in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and who are now 17 and 18 in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” For new characters, Dale used a tape recorder to record one or two sentences in a new voice and noted the place in the text. At the studio he would rewind until he found the right voice and play it back to refresh his memory before recording the audio book. The producers were great sticklers to being absolutely verbatim to the text of the audio books, and Dale admits there were many mistakes, especially when he stumbled on words not on the author’s list. He would have to record it in context in several ways to account for every possible pronunciation. “If she says ‘someone laughs, ha, ha, ha, and I do four ha’s,’ I am stopped and told, ‘Just do three,” says Dale.

NewFiction.com is a web-based company that provides fictional stories in the form of audio books for easy, daily download to email, cell phone, and other electronic media.

So how can this be possible? Well, it’s all setup through another company called Kunaki. All it costs you is $1.75 plus shipping. Now, before you go on and ask why, or say something like it’s too expensive just stop for a second. Think about this, if you had a business or maybe you’re just starting one up how would you combat the costs? The short answer is you would just add it into your price and then it’s covered.

The Benefits of Owning the DVD Automator Product Creation Course

As we continued reading down the page we noticed the actual setup isn’t flashy. It’s basically like someone just took the text and placed it on the Internet for all of us to view, but with a little color added here and there. Anyways, we’re just saying don’t judge a website by its home page because this could be beneficial for you. Especially when it all starts with making more money. More time to promote means more conversion rates in the end which translates into more dough for you.

However, we found several other benefits to this system that we thought you should know about before you go and read everything for yourself. First of all it’s nice to know you will have a little more flexibility according to their sales page. No more creating sales pages, but if you want to spruce it up, adjust it, and give it a personal touch then you can still do so. Actually, they tell you it does so much, we can’t really list it all here.

Targeted Product Creation – How You Can Explode Your Product Creation

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

You may be considering the opportunity of creating your very own products. However, you may also be feeling somewhat cautious about having to outlay your own money for the start up investment? You are not alone, and the risk of getting a return on your investment (ROI) can seem very daunting.

Yes, it’s quite right, it wouldn’t be good to just kiss goodbye to your hard-earned money, and efforts. But, don’t be put off too easily. You can create downloadable information products, the biggest investment being only your time.

Here are 3 steps showing how you can explode your product creation:

Create an ebook. Writing an ebook is one of the easier tasks you can undertake. It is a good way to test the temperature before fully committing yourself financially, and I would strongly recommend it. If you have a computer, or access to one, some specialized software – some ebooks creators are free, if not quite cheap – you can assemble your expert knowledge and offer information that people are hungry to know about. For more details www.instant-info-riches.com Keeping your ebooks highly informative, and concise is the best pathway to success in this field.

Consider creating an audio product too. If you don’t relish the prospect of writing or tapping away at your keyboard for hours on end, then there’s a cool alternative; MP3s and or CD series sets. This option means you don’t have to spend all that time writing, but instead you can verbally record all your material. You should note that if you decide to go for this option instead, you will have a higher initial outlay for quality recording equipment, and you may need other things like voice talents. But since the perceived value of these products is higher than that for ebooks and other written media, your return on investment will be higher too.

High-ticket products. Create high-ticket products when you’re ready to take your business to the next level. This will also multiply you earnings. You will not sell as many products at this end of your business, but your revenue will be substantially more. For more details www.instant-info-riches.com You’ll be getting into the market of boot-camps, advanced coaching products, tele-seminars, one-on-one programs, and webinars, for instance. Products like these give you the vehicle to impart your complete knowledge directly to your client base in exchange for huge sums; this is the market of $2000 – $10000 products at this end of your business.

Product Creation Through Public Information

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Copyright (c) 2009 DHI-Communications

Have you ever surfed a government web site? Have you ever heard of Project Gutenburg? Both of these sources are treasure troves of free information to assist you in your product creation. Most information on U.S. government websites cannot receive a copyright and thus is free to be re-purposed and published by you.

Now, this is not to say you should simply slap a cover page on it and call it your own, but think of ways in which you can package information from different government websites into an in demand information product. How about collecting information on government grants for small business owners and marketing that as an information product?

No one will buy it you think? Have you seen Andrew Lesko on TV selling his book on Free Government Money? Where do you think that information came from?

Project Gutenberg is another great source of open source information. Anything listed on the site is so old that it cannot receive a copyright. Many Walt Disney movies are theatrical adaptations to open source information.

Looking through the list of titles one will be amazed at what is listed. You will find something that will make the light bulb go off in your head and you will start thinking of all of how you can use the information in your product creation efforts. Information seekers today are looking for the most concise information in a one-stop product. That is to say, if you were to collect information for these sources that is targeted at a specific in demand niche, you will have a very sellable product.

People today are time conscious and do not want to spend hours on end searching hundreds of web sites for the information they are seeking. If they were to find the targeted information in one product, they will buy it.

Many of the big name Internet marketers today got their start on developing products from public domain information. They are now multi-millionaires.

If they can do it, why can’t you?

Here’s another possible source of products…

Have you ever written a research paper for school? Whether it was for High School or college, the report can easily be edited into a sellable product. As long as you have a 10+ page report, you are good to go.

People today are in search of very specific content on niche areas. If you believe you are the first person to think of writing a research report on your subject, just take a look at the reference page in your report and that should convince you otherwise.

Simply editing the words you used to be more conversational rather than academic will do the trick. Additionally, you will want to remove any reference citations you may have written into the report.

Your 10 page research paper can now be 10 articles of one page each, one 10 page report, or two 5 page reports. How about recording it? Most personal computers today have a basic recording software included in them. All that is then needed is a quality microphone and you can record an audio product.

How about conducting a presentation on your research topic? Creating a simple Powerpoint presentation is relatively simple to do. If you paper is on a topic that is in demand, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who will not only buy your report, but also the recording and presentation. The most up to date version of Powerpoint allows you to integrate recordings onto your presentation. If you own Camtasia, this can also be used to record voice to your presentation.

So, how simple is that? If kids today are told that they can turn their reports that they hate to write into cash, just imagine how passionate they will become about learning and writing, not to mention becoming an Internet information product creator.

Product Creation Success is Possible and not Out of Reach for Anyone

Your goal should be to create a product that is comparable or better than those being praised or negatively slammed. If you are competing against something that is tough to beat out then add a unique touch to yours.

3. What’s your expertise? – taking your knowledge and applying it to a product can do wonders for your bank account. Of course, you would still have to do the necessary research to ensure you are entering into a profitable niche but imagine the possibilities of creating a product or service based on the experience. Your confidence alone would enable you to produce a high quality product. Being an authority and expert usually allows you to sell high-ticket items easily.
